Our story starts with one such student — now our Founder & CEO — who faced the same uncertainty many students do, but chose to turn that struggle into a solution.
The Journey Behind Escapenormie
After completing 10th grade, like millions of Indian students, he stood at a confusing crossroad — unsure which stream to choose, and with no proper guidance or direction.
Just as he entered 12th, a tragic accident left him bedridden. Though he managed to pass, he missed out on real learning, mentoring, and confidence-building that those years were meant to bring.
Still, he kept pushing forward.
He enrolled in CMA, took up B.Com simultaneously — hoping one of them would feel “right.” But none of them did. What was missing wasn’t just a course — it was clarity.
He realized that students don’t fail because they’re not talented — they fall behind because the system isn’t designed to guide them.
“Why does it feel like we’re all expected to just figure it out on our own?”
That single question sparked the early idea of Escapenormie.
And then came another chapter — studying abroad.
He decided to pursue an MBA in London, but again, the process was overwhelming:
Which country? Which course?
What documents? SOPs? LORs?
How do I even apply for a visa?
There were no clear answers. Just confusion, costs, and stress.
That’s when he knew — this wasn’t just his problem.
Thousands of students were silently suffering through the same things.
So he took the leap — even before moving to London, he began the research, the planning, and the mission.
And then came his close friend — someone who instantly connected with the vision and brought shared energy, insight, and commitment to the dream.
Together, they began building not just a company — but a student-first ecosystem that understands what it actually feels like to be 17, lost, and expected to figure everything out.
They handpicked a team of people who had all lived through similar journeys — not just for their skills, but because they understood the emotion behind the confusion.
That’s how Escapenormie was born — not in a boardroom, but through lived experiences, late-night doubts, relentless research, and a powerful desire to make things easier for the next generation.
Why the name Escapenormie?
Normie is slang for “someone who follows the crowd, the routine, the expected path.”
And that’s exactly what we’re here to help students break away from.
